Tour Summary

Scuba diving is not only an exciting adventure, it's also the gateway to years and years of awesome vacation dives and an international group of fellow divers who will become your friends. In just three to four days, our PADI Open Water Certification Adventure will transform you into a fully certified PADI diver, ready to start breathing underwater and experiencing a lifetime of diving adventure.

What's involved in becoming fully certified? It's a three step process that begins with some theory work. Our highly professional and qualified PADI dive instructors will take you through the paces of scuba diving theory. You'll also learn about scuba equipment, how your body responds to pressurized environments underwater, and how to plan your dives safely. You'll be quizzed and re-quizzed to make sure you know everything you need to know to enjoy a safe dive in Puerto Vallarta.

After the knowledge development, we get into the water with our gear and practice the basic skills. This part of the certification course occurs in shallow, calm water so all you have to think about is your gear and your basic principles of diving. One of the important skills will be how to empty your mask without surfacing, in case it fills with water. You'll also practice sharing air, en emergency technique all divers must know. Your dive instructor will take you into easy conditions for your first practice run, and by the end of phase two you'll be confident with your gear and your techniques. After a total of five confined water dives, you're ready to head out to the open water.

Your instructor will guage the lessons and dives based on how fast you're learning, so your class is custom fit to your pace. By the time you hit this final phase of the course, you and your instructor will feel confident that you are ready for the exciting dive spots of Puerto Vallarta. Now that you know what it's all about, what are you waiting for? Join us on your vacation to Puerto Vallarta and get PADI certified for entrance to the world of diving.

Thanks to the professional guides! I was a bit worried about kayaking because I had never done it before, but the instructions were great and I had such a good time!
